More Jardine Cribs Recalled (US)

| May 1, 2009 | 0 Comments

More Jardine cribs (sold by Babies’R'Us) are being recalled because they pose entrapment and strangulation hazards to babies and young children. Jardine cribs have been recalled on two previous occasions for this reason.

The problem is that the wooden slats can break and the CPSC has received 31 reports of this occuring – with two children becoming trapped in the gap created by the broken slat.

7 models of Jardine wooden cribs are included in this recall. The date codes and photographs of the models involved are available on the CPSC website.

If you need more information, please call Jardine at (800) 646-4106 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at http://www.jardinecribrecall.com/
