Recall of Bonavita “Cabana” Drop Side Cribs (US)
Bonavita “Cabana” Drop Side Cribs are being recalled because they pose entrapment and strangulation hazards. These risks are caused by the wooden slats, which may detach or break, creating a gap.
The cribs involved are Bonavita “Cabana” wooden drop side cribs with metal mattress supports (you can see images of the cribs here).
They were manufactured from January 2006 through October 2008 and have production dates between 01 JAN 2006 and 31 OCT 2008.
You can find the color, model name, production date, product order (PO) number, and other crib identifiers printed on a label located on the inside bottom rail of the headboard or footboard.
The cribs were sold in either antique white, classic cherry or montego brown finishes. Cribs with other production dates are not included in this recall.
The cribs were sold for around $450 by USA Baby, Beautiful Beginnings, Buy Buy Baby and other specialty stores nationwide from January 2006 through May 2009.
