Recall of Bugaboo Strollers (US)

| June 15, 2009 | 0 Comments

Recall of Bugaboo strollersBugaboo Bee Strollers are being recalled because the brakes can fail on one or both sides – which, of course, poses a risk of injury to your little one if the stroller rolls unexpectedly.

The company has received over 100 reports of the brakes failing – although, fortunately, no children have been hurt.

The strollers have an ‘item code’ of 580210, which you can find on a label on the back of the seat and and ‘item code’ of 50100, which you can find on a label on the plastic support under the seat.

“bugaboo® bee” is printed on the left side of the seat and the strollers were sold in black, yellow, blue, red, pink and dark khaki.

The strollers were sold for around $530 at juvenile product retailers nationwide and online, from August 2007 through April 2009

If you have one of these strollers, please stop using it and arrange to receive a free repair kit from Bugaboo. To do this, visit www.bugaboo.com and complete the special form. Alternatively, you can contact Bugaboo customer service at (800) 460-2922 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or email the firm at bugaboobee-service@bugaboo.com.
