Recall of Children’s Metal Necklaces (US)
Nov 6th, 2008 by Christine
Best Friends Yin Yang Necklaces Sets are being recalled by Claire’s Boutiques because they contain high levels of lead. Of course, you’re not likely to have bought one of these for your baby, but – if you have older children – you may have one of these necklaces at home and it could pose a hazard if your baby is crawling.
The recalled product is a set of 2 necklaces with a lobster-claw clasp and a silver-colored metal bead type chain. One necklace has the word ‘Best’ attached to a black, yin metal pendant and the other has the word ‘Friends’ attached to a white, yang metal pendant.
These necklaces were sold for around $8 at Claire’s stores nationwide from April 2007 through August 2008.
If you have them at home, please take them to any Claire’s store, where you will be given a full refund.
If you need more details, please call Claire’s at (866) 859-9281 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit their website.
