Recall of Little Tikes™ Children’s Toy Workshop Sets and Trucks (US)
Little Tikes™ Children’s Toy Workshop Sets and Trucks – some of which have been available for sale for the last 15 years, are being recalled followed an incident where an 11 month old baby choked after getting a toy nail lodged in his throat. Fortunately, the little boy recovered, but it is feared that the plastic toy nails these toys contain continue to pose a choking hazard.
The CPSC website has a complete list of all the products involved in this recall, which were sold for between $25 and $100 at various web sites such as www.littletikes.com and mass merchandise retailers nationwide (including Toys “R” Us) from March 1994 through June 2009.
If you have one of these toys, you should immediately take the toy nails away and contact Little Tikes at (800) 791-2737 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET Saturday for free, replacement toy nails. Alternatively, visit the firm’s Web site at www.littletikes.com.
