Recall of Little Tikes Toy Cell Phones (US)
May 29th, 2008 by Christine
Little Tikes Chit ‘N Chat Toy Cell Phones are being recalled by Kids Station Toys. The problem is that the hinge cover can detach from the phone - and this poses a potential choking hazard to young children. There have been three reports of the phone breaking and one child began to choke on a small part.

The phone involved looks like a flip-phone style cell phone. It has a 10-key numeric button pad and three buttons with pictures of animals. The buttons all make a sound when pressed. The toy phones are multi-colored, with a sticker on the back showing the model number. Those with the model number KSL4010 were sold separately and those with model numbers KSL8032, KSL8033, or KSL8051 were sold with other items.
“Designed and Licensed by Kids Station Toys International Ltd.” is printed on the back of the toy phones.
If you have one of these phones but can see a screw on the hinge cover, then your phone is NOT included in this recall.
These phones were sold from June 2006 through March 2008 at juvenile product, department and drug stores for around $8 individually, or about $20 for the set.
If your child has one of the recalled phones, please take it away and contact Kids Station toll-free at (888) 620-0930 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for instructions on how to receive a free replacement.
Alternatively, you can visit the company’s website.
