Monell’s Teething Cordial – a Spanish remedy for teething is being recalled. This is a precautionary measure, because there have been an increasing number of reports of the product causing adverse reactions in babies. One of the problems associated with the remedy seems to be lethargy.
The Teething Cordial – known in Spanish as “Cordial De Monell Para La Denticion”, has a Bar Code of 7460840410019.
According to the FDA website, customers with the recalled product should contact their wholesaler or distributor for return and replacement product.

I think it’s stupid to recall the product. You say its been recalled cause it makes the baby sleepy or sluggish. This product is made to calm the baby when he/she is fussy because of the gums. I gave it to my second child and she went through those years with no problem. I had teething toys for my baby and i never needed it for her to chew on because i was using the cordial. I wish I knew about it for my first child. I used to use humphreys for teething and it didn’t seem to be working. She was still fussy and had a hard time falling asleep. Cordial was the best thing my sister-in-law gave me and I need it now for my 3 child.
