Recall of Wal-Mart Key Chains (US)

Hip Charm key chains are being recalled after a 9 month old baby, who was seen mouthing one of the chains, was found to have high blood-lead levels.

The key chain (pictured below) has various charms, including a button, leaf, clover, sand dollar and a heart. The chain is silver colored and the UPC of #31568 11017, along with the words “Hip charm”, are printed on the product’s packaging.

These key chains were sold for around $6 at Wal-Mart stores across the US from April 2005 through April 2008. If you bought one, please keep it out of reach of your baby and return it to your local Wal-Mart for a full refund.

If you need more details, you can contact Wal-Mart at (800) 925-6278 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit their website.
