Graco’s Passage™, Alano™ and Spree™ Strollers and Travel Systems are being recalled because the hinges on the strollers canopy can either cut – or amputate the fingertip – of a child when the canopy is being opened or closed.
There have already been five fingertip amputations and two fingertip lacerations as a result of this problem.
The Graco Passage™, Alano™ and Spree™ Strollers and Travel Systems involved in this recall have the following model numbers and specific hinge mechanisms:

These stroller models were made with two different kinds of hinge mechanism.
The only strollers/travel systems included in this recall are those with plastic, jointed hinge mechanisms that have indented canopy positioning notches.
These strollers were manufactured between October 2004 and February 2008. You can find the model number and manufacture date on the lower inside portion of the rear frame, just above the rear wheels.
The recalled strollers were sold for between $80 and $90 and the travel systems for between $150 and $200 at AAFES, Burlington Coat Factory, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, Kmart, Fred Meyer, Meijers, Navy Exchange, Sears, Target, Walmart and other retailers nationwide from October 2004 and December 2009.
