We are a family run website – and a new addition to the family (our fifth child) is due in a few weeks’ time! As we announced in our newsletter last week, things may be a little quieter on our site for the next several weeks and that’s because hubby and myself – plus the entire brood – will be taking a trip to the US tomorrow from our home in the Bahamas so that our new arrival can be born in the water at a natural birthing center (sadly, water births are not yet available here in the Bahamas).
Anyone who has laboured and delivered in water will know why we are so willing to make such a journey – water birth really is a wonderful experience! However, being away from home for around a month – along with the birth of the wee one – will mean that our website will be a little quieter than usual. We will, of course, do our best to keep you abreast of important baby-related news and to deal with enquiries – but if it takes us longer than usual, or if certain events (such as contest results) are not announced quite on time, then we do hope that you will understand!
