Wendy Bellissimo Hidden Hills Collection Cribs, sold exclusively at Babies “R” Us stores nationwide from November 2007 through February 2008, are being recalled. The space between the spindles on some of the cribs does not meet federal standards, meaning that the cribs may pose an entrapment hazard to babies. Fortunately, though, no babies have been injured.
The recalled crib has a model number of 5446-0521, which you can find located on the bottom rail of the headboard. The crib was sold in a Navajo Pine finish and retailed for around $500.
If you have one of these cribs, please stop using it straight away and contact Bassettbaby, who will arrange for an in-home inspection of the crib. If they confirm it is one of the recalled cribs, it will be replaced.
