Recall of Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seats (US)

Chaperone Infant car seats are being recalled by Britax because the harness chest clip may break, posing a potential choking and laceration hazard.

The Chaperone infant car seats involved in this recall have model numbers E9L69N9 (Moonstone), E9L69P2 (Red Mill), E9L69P3 (Savannah) and E9L69P5 (Cowmooflage) sold in the U.S. All the models being recalled were manufactured between April 2009 and May 2010. You can find the white serial label with details of the seat’s serial number, model number, and manufacture date on the underside of the car seat.

These seats were sold for around $230 at mass and independent retailers nationwide and on the Britax website from June 2009 to October 2010.

If you have one of these seats, please contact Britax for a free repair kit, which includes a replacement chest clip.

You can contact Britax at (888) 427-4829 anytime, or visit the firm’s website at www.britax.com
