Bugaboo Bee Strollers are being recalled because it’s possible for the front swivel wheels to lock while the stroller is moving, causing the stroller to tip. This is obviously hazardous for baby and there have been four cases where this has happened.
The strollers involved in this recall are intended for newborns and toddlers up to 37 pounds and come in two frame colors: silver and all black. If you look on the date code label on the frame under the seat, you’ll find the production date – those affected are from January 2011 through September 2011.
These strollers were sold between February 2011 and September 2011 for about $650 across the US and Canada.
If you have one of these strollers, please stop using it and contact Bugaboo or the retailer from whom you bought the stroller to receive free replacement swivel wheels.
You can contact Bugaboo at serviceus@bugaboo.com or at (800) 460-2922 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit their website at http://www.bugaboo.com/non-swiveling-wheels
