Recall of Cantaloupes (Canada)

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced that certain KingFisher brand cantaloupes may be contaminated with Salmonella and should not be eaten.

The cantaloupes, which were distributed in Ontario and sold from May 16 up to and including June 2, 2008, were produced in the United States. They were distributed under the KingFisher brand name in cartons containing 6 or 9 cantaloupes.

Some of these cantaloupes may individually bear a sticker with the following information:

If you bought either a whole cantaloupe, or a product containing cantaloupe pieces and you are not sure which brand they are, please contact the store you bought them from to find out if that store may have received the affected cantaloupes.
