If your little one already has some teeth and you’re in the UK, then check the toothpaste you are using – GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare is recalling a single batch of its Aquafresh Milk Teeth toothpaste (0-3 years).
The batch affected is Batch BN 388G – no other Aquafresh product, either for children or adults, is included in this recall.
GSK has discovered that a few tubes in this particular batch contain various amounts of a different toothpaste formulation. If you have one of the affected tubes, you may already have noticed – because Aquafresh Milk Teeth toothpaste is white and the rogue batch is red/mauve in colour. It also has a strong flavour.
According to the Trading Standard’s website, the recalled tubes may pose a low risk because the formulation contains an ingredient called Linalool, which may cause an allergic reaction in a very small number of children.
Please check the batch number of any Aquafresh Milk Teeth toothpaste you have at home – you can find the number on the crimp at the bottom of the tube and also on the end of the carton.
If you DO have a tube from the affected batch (or if you have any questions) please call FREEPHONE 0500 888 878. You will be given a refund voucher.
