Recall of Infant Formula

A recall of infant formula has just been announced, concerning around 13,000 cans of Calcilo XD Low-Calcium/Vitamin D-Free Infant Formula with Iron.

The formula, manufactured by Abbott Nutrition of Columbus, Ohio, has been recalled because small amounts of air may have entered the cans. This causes oxidization – and consuming foods that are highly oxidized can lead to vomiting, diarrhea and nausea.

The products involved are 14.1-ounce cans with the stock code number 00378 and lot numbers 39973RB or 47239RB6 printed on the bottom. These cans were distributed between June 2006 and April 2008.

If you need more information, then please contact the company at 1-800-638-6493.
