Kolcraft Tender Vibes & Light Vibes bassinets are being recalled because the latch attaching the bassinet to the frame can remain UNlocked, but appear locked. This obviously poses a hazard to baby.
The recalled models are Kolcraft Tender Vibes bassinets (model numbers KB021-ARC, KB022-VER, KB039-CMR1) and Light Vibes bassinet (model number KB043-BNT1).
You can find a label showing the model and item number on one of the legs of the frame, and the words “Kolcraft Tender Vibes” or “Kolcraft Light Vibes” on the music box attached to the bassinet’s side.
These bassinets were sold from July 2008 through May 2012 at various stores and online for between about $50 and $100.
If you have one, please stop using it for now and get in touch with Kolcraft either by phone or on-line. You will be issued with a repair kit and instructions for securing the latches to the metal frame.
