Recall of Kolcraft Strollers (US and Canada)

Kolcraft Contours Options three- and four-wheeled strollers are being recalled in the US and Canada because there’s a risk that a child or adult’s finger might become caught in the opening that forms when the hinge mechanism is locked or unlocked. This could lead to laceration or – worse – amputation of the finger.

Kolcraft Contours Options three- and four-wheeled strollers are both included in this recall.

The model numbers of the recalled strollers start with ZL002, ZL005, ZL008, ZL015 and ZL018.

On the ZL002 model
You can find the model number and date of manufacture printed on a sticker above the left wheel.

On the ZL005, ZL008, ZL015 and ZL018 models
You can find the model number and date of manufacture printed on a label sewn into the edge of back of the stroller seat pad.

These strollers were sold in various colours and manufactured from January 2006 through November 2009. They were sold for around $150 to $160 at various stores and online at Amazon.com, Target.com and ToysRUs.com from January 2006 and June 2012.

If you have one of these strollers, you are advised to stop using it and to contact Kolcraft for a free repair kit.
