Recall of phil and teds Table-Top Clip-on Chairs (US)

“metoo” Table-Top Clip-on Chairs are being recalled by phil&teds because they can detach from table surfaces if the clamp pads are missing or worn, posing a fall hazard.

Also, it’s possible for children’s fingers to be caught between the bar and clamping mechanism, posing an amputation hazard – and the instructions supplied with the chair are not good enough, making the risk of misuse even higher.

The infant/toddler chair included in this recall – sold in navy, red and black – has a nylon fabric seat and a metal frame. It attaches on to the surface of tables using two metal vise clamps and each clamp has either a rubber pad on its underside or a rubber boot covering it.

Chairs included in this recall do not have black plastic spacers between the cross bar and the clamps.

These products were sold for between $40 and $50 from May 2006 to May 2011 at Buy Buy Baby, Target, Toys R Us and their online sites; philandteds.com; Amazon.com; other online retailers; and a variety of independent juvenile specialty stores.

If you have one of these chairs, please stop using it and contact phil & teds for a free repair kit and revised user instructions. If you have previously received a repair kit with only rubber boots, you should STILL stop using the chair and contact phil & teds for new repair kit.

You can contact phil&teds USA at (855) 652-9019 or visit their website.
