Seago 150 and 175 Newton Lifejackets are being recalled because some have a defect that may cause serious injury. The recall notice states that Junior Lifejackets are included in this recall – Infant Lifejackets are not specified but we recommend you contact the company to be on the safe side if you have one of these products.
The manufacture date is marked on the lifejackets in roman numerals, for instance the last quarter of 2005 is shown IV/05. The quarters involved are:

If you have any Seago 150 or 175 Newton Lifejackets including Junior Lifejackets then you are advised to check the manufacture date. These lifejackets were sold in chandlery shops, marine retail outlets & marine web sites throughout the United Kingdom.
If you DO have one of the lifejackets affected by this recall, then please stop using it at once and return it to Seago Yachting Ltd, Mullany Business Park, Golden Cross, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 3RP. Please include your full contact details – you will then be issued with a replacement lifejacket.
