Britax is recalling its B-Nimble Strollers, which were sold from September 2010 to June 2011 in the US and from October 2010 to May 2011 in Canada. The problem is that you can hear a ‘click’ when the brake pedal is pressed, leading you to think that the brake is properly engaged. However, this isn’t always the case, and there is then a danger that the stroller may move unexpectedly.
The B-Nimble umbrella strollers involved in this recall were manufactured on or after August 1, 2010.
The model numbers involved are:
U311771
U311773
U311775
U311780.
There is a sticker showing the model numbers and manufacture date on either the right or left side of the lower frame.
If you have one of these strollers, please contact Britax in order to arrange to receive a replacement stroller. If you use your current stroller in the meantime, please check that you engage the brake properly when using it.
You can contact Britax toll-free at (888) 427-4829 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and, or visit their website.
