Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling some Chicken of the Sea brand 12-ounce solid white tuna in water. According to the FDA notice, the product does not meet the company’s standards for seal tightness. No illnesses have been reported – but loose seals could potentially lead to contamination, so the recall is a precautionary measure.
The recalled product was distributed to stores in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Utah, Pennsylvania, New York, Maine, Colorado, Indiana, California and Oregon in February and May.
